I can always reinstall PPro or even Smart Sound but their is still the underlying problem and if I clean install and use Time Marchine it'll all come back to haunt me. Now when I attempt to Chat I dont get a start Chat button, 5 times I've tried without the Start Chat button. To make it more frustrating I attempted to Chat with Premiere Pro support and typed an even longer explanation of all things I've done to resolve and while I was waiting very long for a response and editing support responded but terminated the Chat a few minutes later. Smart Sound is at a loss because we cant find that plug in even though it's in the Log and appears to be tied to PPro under the File/New menu at the bottom where Plug in are listed. I've discovered a work around select: CMD/Double Click will load the AIFF or WAV file. I've checked the Plug-in Log and indeed it reports that Smart Sound is loading as a PPro Plug in and after many, many attempts to locate that plug in computer wide I do not find it anywhere on my computer. Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore/ "SmartSoundAdobePlugin64.prm" I've spent several hours confirming Smart Sound bundle is not in my Plug In folder or anywhere else on my computer, typically located here: When I select OK the prompt immediately pops up again and again and does not allow me to return to or save my PPro project. The problem I'm having now is that even though I uninstalled it Smart Sound is launched each time I load any AIFF or WAV to the viewer accompanied by a prompt "Smart Sound is not properly installed". ![]() Now I've discovered it auto launches even when I import AIFF & WAV files that are not associated with Smart Sound. I'm working on a new project and decided to upgrade to ver6 and discovered it forces you into a Round Trip process so when you select an AIFF made in Smart Sound it auto launches Smart Sound so I decided to uninstall it till I have time to learn ver 6 and all its features. I've been a Smart Sound user for several years although I've always used it to create a track, output AIFF, import and use, no problems. ![]()
